Hey had a question for the group

Got a couple blogs I've put together that target affiliate products that are doing pretty good. Making $20-$30 per day consistently on one of them, primarily from article marketing from EzineArticles.

I've been going through submitting to social sites and doing rss feeds and would like to start regularly adding content and getting those new urls out there.

I'm wondering which would be better

1) Getting articles written and then scheduled to post in the blog
2) Autofeeding content to the site
3) Sourcing out blog comments/posts to someone

My issue with sourcing is I don't have a good line on someone to use and while I've used Elance for articles and other things, for someone the blog posting makes me nervous

Oh and one thing, I plan on keeping my current homepage static (have to figure that out still) since thats the nice converting post and just filling up the blog with more posts and backlinks

Thoughts/suggestions?

So I was reading through all of the autoblogging posts on the forum and a lot of them are just duplicates of posts from other sites which is fine but bottom line is most people are wondering does this still work and turn a profit. Well yes even worn out methods work you just have to scale up and make it original. Anyway there are some rules that I follow and they are simple.

1. Every site must pay for itself
2. Set a goal for how many blogs or pages I want indexed
3. Dont stop keep looking forward and the money will come

Ok so now that we got that out of the way you now should have an idea of where your going. So to start you want to set this on a good platform ( hosting) no shared hosting, use vps or dedicated. Its $60 plus but its better simple as that. If you want all the details then read up on it. Domains? now some many people I talk to say stick with .com tld but to be honest ive tested it with all tlds and it works so get what you can get to start. Next dont go making 10million subdomains. If you find a good general niche then make subdomains. But thats up to you and your judgement.

Basics out of the way. Now what? Wordpress! Its easy google loves it and theres so many plugins its sickning. So plugins and themes is next.

-caffenated content ( pulls in content from various sources)
-wp spam free
-dupe destroyer
-google sitemap generator
-dd sitemap generator
-uniqifer (makes content look unique to spiders)
-firestats( traffic stats)
-wpomatic or feedwordpress (pulls in rss feed (look for full not summaries)and posts it)
-onlywire autosubmitter or socialize it pro ( social bookmarking)
-ping crawler ( nasty bh tool thats a form of xss) optional

themes
-simple any none premium theme will work perfect.

Now im not going to post them because then there would be no reason for a search button

So thats done now onto a little explaination as to how to set up ads on the page. ( adsense,adbrite,clicksor,bidvertisor) are all ppc. I would stay away from using adsense though but its your choice.

First you want to ads to match the theme, color that is so it blends in. Im not gonna get into this too much but you want one below the header, 2 side by side in single post 250x250 and if thats not working after a couple months change it around, color,position etc.

So now you should be good with plugins,theme, got some content now and your ready to promote to some social sites. That should be mostly taken care of for you if you have those above plugins. Above and beyond that to help get it indexed quickly is submit to digg,mixx,indian pad and worldofblogs.com is decent to I use them even though it takes awhile for you to get in there. The last little nugget is reddit.com and what you do with that is post either funny pics,videos on your blog and link to them submit that url to reddit, then clear cookies and change out ip and go to which ever section you posted in exp. reddit.com/r/funny/new sub out "funny" for your section and then you should get a good 1k + everytime you do that so theres some click throughs for you. So test out where you post in reddit and how often to get that down. Then on top of that I would suggest to buy some cheap traffic 0.1$ per click and your well on your way to 1k plus per month.

Like I stated before how many and how much is up too you. Along the way you will loose some, some will get good pr, high backlinks, etc but the point is that it is automated money that is set and forget.

I do go above and beyond that with what I create and put different spins on it and thats the whole idea. Monetize them with ppc ads and cpa/affiliate offers.

Now the point of this is not to hold your hand but to get you thinking in the right direction.

Problems with Wordpress (5 replies)

I can't fix a redirect loop error I have.

When I change the permalinks back to their original post_id option, there is no redirect loop. But I need the permalinks changed.

When I deactivate all my plugins, I get no redirect loop but I get a 404 error.

I have tried the canonical plugin and the permalink migration one. I also tried the other redirect plugin too. Nothing seems to work. Do I really have to do a fresh install just to see posts? The main page works fine. It is clicking on individual links that will not work.

I came across a "secret" URL which gives live scores from ESPN. The data was not in RSS format, so wasn't very useable.

I've gone ahead and created RSS feeds to allow people to use the info in their RSS Readers.

Auto Backlinks Wordpress Plugin (23 replies)

From reading many many posts here about autoblogging, they are very inspiring so i started to build my own WP autoblog farm. But one thing left out is how to get backlink automatically. Without auto backlink, it wouldn't be an autoblog would it. I tried Auto Social Poster and it does not give me any backlink ever! none! It just kept sending me BS. emails, that's all it does.

So, i tried onlywire plugin and it works perfectly! It really gives me backlinks.

Step By Step Autoblog Setup (23 replies)

After I posted my autoblog post, I kept getting asked how to set these up step by step [more in depth than the stuff I've already posted] so here's the basic step by step method I use: [oh before I go into it, I am going to do the step by step on how to get STARTED, not the method I use once I've configured all my plugins/themes with my information in them. This is as detailed as it should get because of this.]

1. Create a folder on my desktop that says "100 blog setup" (yep it really says that)
2. Create a folder in that folder that says "plugins"
3. Create a folder in that folder that says "themes"
4. Create a txt file that says "important information" in the main folder
5. Create a txt file that says "blog_logins" in the main folder
6. Create a txt file that says "emails" in the main folder
7. Create a txt file that says "twitter logins" in the main folder
8. Add the robots.txt to my main folder:

9. Create a txt file called "pinglist" that holds your pinglist [duh]

13. Go register your domain names, and setup your hosting account etc. IE. Get a domain, configure your nameservers, and login to your account.
14. Setup blogs on your first 3-4 domains using Fantastico in your cpanel.
15. Copy the login information and paste it into your "blog_logins" file.
16. Open your ftp client and add the 3-4 sites to it [assuming different hosting accts]
17. Go to your first site, click on the www, and add the robots.txt to the root index
18. Go to wp-content then delete the plugins folder. Replace it with your plugins folder. [oops missed that step--once you set up your plugins folder, put all the plugins you will need into it and unzip them all. Remove the zipped files. The files I use for basic autoblog setups are:

19. Login to the blogs [use a tabbed browser and have them all open]
20. While you are ftping your files to each of the blog's plugin folders, go to Settings--> Writing and turn on your XML-RPC publishing options if you want to use BlogSlammer! with these setups.
21. Go to Settings--> Permalinks and set your permalinks to Custom:/%postname%/
22. Go to Posts--> Categories and create about 6-7 if not more categories. The more, the better.
23. By now at least two of your blogs have their plugins installed. Go to them. Select all. Activate all. Update any out to date ones that you missed. Then activate the other two blog's plugins too.
24. Go to Settings-->Max Blog Press ping optimizer and activate it by putting your name and email address in it. Copy and paste your pinglist from your pinglist file no less into the box, set the settings to where it will only post 1 time every 120 minutes or more or less in order to control excessive pinging.
25. Go to Tools--> WP Videotube and click on the link at top that says "here" to edit your template. Delete the {video_description} line and edit your height and widths to around 320*230 [just some arbitrary numbers here, but you need to reduce the width of the videos as they will overflow on some templates; you only need to do this part of the step if you have a plan to use such a theme].
26. Configure CC under the Settings--> CC link
27. Go to Post --> CC Management and run it at least once per blog so you have some content on your site to play with while editing your themes/widget/codes.
28. Go to themes and choose your theme and activate it. **You should have ftped these earlier too but I forgot to tell you =P***Edit the files of your theme with your adsense pub numbers if applicable to your theme
29. Go to widgets and edit your sidebars. You will want to add your global translator, text, tag, and recent posts in the very least, but mix it up from blog to blog by adding different others ones too. For the text one, use it to put adsense in your sidebars. I use the Old Adsense Code Generator from here:

30. Click on sidebar.php and at the top where it says

to begin the list of one of the sidebar contents and add this line right below it:

And if your theme does not have a functions.php, add the one you have in your 100 blog setup folder to it via your ftp client.
**As some themes have two sidebars, make sure that you are putting that line above the proper sidebar's end list else your theme will be messed up.
31. Go to Settings-->global translator and adjust the settings so they look better in your theme as it sometimes does not look right.Try the div option first, and if that does not work, go to tables option with the option to show 5-7 flags per row.
32. Go to Settings-->Sociable option and configure those options the way you like. I take it a step further and only have a few key main ones and then adding random others to mix it up...cause yes I am weird like that. I usually just blind click these cause I don't really care about the sociable options really...
33. Go to Settings--> Adsense and configure your adsense settings. I put min to only show the 300*250 and 468*60 ads in the top left or top center parts of my posts with around 5-7 pixels of space. I then look at the themes and see if it will look better with ads not showing on the front page and click that option if it does. Otherwise, just save. To make picking the colors easier, just open up Themes-->Editor in another tab and view the css file for the color scheme or the file that contains the add units if they are adsense ready themes and use the colors from there.
34. Go to Privacy Policy and configure to your liking. I don't like the links on them, so I update my first options to show no links. Then I have it generate a page for me.
35. Go to SEO Post link and activate the settings there.
36. Go to UAW and configure the options there. I always add custom div titles and click all categories EXCEPT THE UNCATEGORIZED. Activate it.
37. Go to CC and finish finding more content. For what categories you cannot find content in, go to the Tools --> WP Answers and setup campaigns for your other categories [add to the ones you did find content to for more content on those if you want to as well].
38. Go to Tools --> WP Videotube and add a few video posts [I find that videos attract a lot more visitors] across 3-4 categories. ***MAKE SURE IF YOU ARE USING ONE HOSTING ACCOUNT TO HOST A LOT OF BLOGS THAT YOU PAY ATTENTION TO HOW MANY PROCESSES YOU HAVE RUNNING AT ONCE

39. Go to Settings--> YARRP plugin and configure those settings the way you want.
40. Go to Settings --> Platinum SEO and configure it with a title, description, and keywords that you should have generated from w/e keyword generator you use while doing steps 1-39 but I forgot to tell you too. I use KW Elite most times.
41. Go to Twitter Tools and add your login info to the twitter accounts that you created with your awesome twitter account creator (or manually...) that I forgot to tell you to do but you can still do at this time (man, what a run-on!). Save those details.
42. Change your blogroll links to referral links on clickbank or other products/programs.
43. Once you have a network setup, interlink your blogs with posts and links in the post titles as well as in different posts posting to different posts.
44. Drive traffic to your sites/link build. I did do this before and only slowly started lately, but it does help with traffic.
45. Rinse and repeat with your profits. =D

**Optional steps would include an option that I believe is not supposed to be discussed in the open.
**Once you have setup your themes, you will want to ftp the completed setups to your "completed themes folder" so you don't have to edit them each time you want to with your adsense codes or widget ready change.
**Use Blogslammer! to post Spin-ready articles to your blogs in general categories or post ebay rss posts.
***ETA: Edit your About Me widget to make your blog look a little more personable. Change it up from blog to blog too--some with, and some without.
I have made sales off Clickbank and made money through adsense with this method [only tweaked a little for my personal setups--added a couple of extra plugins and used different ad networks, but in general still basically the same]. There should be no reason now not to start earning as I have literally taken your hand and guided you the whole way. Any minor steps that I may have left out are common sense so I'm not gonna offer an addendum to this post with extra information as that would just totally give everything away, and who wants that? =P

Autoblogs making money (16 replies)

I have a few autoblogs...because I like them. I have one that I set up one day and have done no promotion with. It auto posts articles and youtube videos and I am steadily increasing in organic traffic each month. It's been up for about 4 months and now up to 200 uniques a day. Not bad for no promotion whatsoever. So I thought I'd let ya'll know what I use for plugins and you can add your better ones and even better theme. I get clicks daily and I'm not even using a adsense optimized theme [I want my blogs to look natural enough and not clouded to the extreme with adsense] so i'm sure you guys can do better. I'm averaging 50c-$1 a day per blog after about 2 months of letting them sit so I'm sure you can get better if you start promoting right away.

I use the unique article wizard plugin for posting articles, but for more obscure niches, you are going to want a different autoposter as this I have noticed is only best for popular/broad niches. I use the wpyoutube plugin [the free version as each blog is a mix, and not strictly a video blog] to post youtube videos automatically. I use the Platinum SEO plugin and load my keywords that I pruned from Keyword Elite into it along with a keyword rich title and description. I use the YPN-Adsense plugin to automatically add adsense to my posts in random spots so the people do not become ad blind to my ads =P.

On some of my blogs I use more plugins while on others these are the only ones I use. I don't show ads on my homepages for any of these blogs and I still get clicks within the posts. Perhaps I would get more if I put them on my homepage, but again, I like to keep the blogs halfway decent like so people stay on them longer.

I do no promotion whatsoever with these blogs. I don't even put their links in my sigs or do bookmarkings...nothing. I have it now where I can set up one of these blogs in an hour or less and forget about them. Autoblogs are great for adsense earnings because they do all the work for you once you put the initial effort in. $30/month per blog is not bad either for no promotion.

Just thought I'd let some of those people having trouble with 'direction' for their autoblogs. =D

I was looking for a method to autoblog on blogspot.com for about 5 hours now, and now I found one. I see that there are lots of people looking for an autoblog method for blogspot.com thats why I'm sharing this method with you.
So... here it goes:
1.Create a blog on blogspot.com
2.Create an e-mail acount on gmail

4.Forward all e-mails to your e-mail posting adress
5.Go to feedmyinbox.com and subscribe to all the feeds you want
That's all, a very easy method to auto post on blogspot.com blogs.
The only isue is that it will not be unique content.

what i mean is why not start a general blog like news or gossip instead of niche related like green or politics.
as in gossip we can include politics,green,basketball?
why i am advocating this is because you will get a wide audience by ranking for different keywords.
I have tried this as compared to niche related.that's why i am asking.
so will a general blog be better or niche one.

Your blog is up and you are busy writing and adding information but what you need more than anything is visitors to enjoy reading what you have written.

Here are four ways that I use to bring visitors to my blog.

Social networks
Social networks are websites that are driven by the community. So they provide community driven content which means you do less work if you own one (although moderating one is enough work in itself!)

This has to be one of my most active traffic generation methods and there are plenty to choose from including Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, MyBlogLog, and other less popular ones.

I join because they allow me to post events, classifieds, bulletins and messages that other people will read. In addition you also have your own profile that allows you to talk about who you are and link to your website(s).

Articles
Writing articles is still one of the most effective ways to drive traffic to your site. Not only because the article site will feature them but also because other people will use them in their blogs, on their websites, in their ezines and in other places online.
As each article contains your signature file with your details in it (which must remain as part of the conditions of people using your article) you are given free advertising on other people's sites!

Of course you also gain a link back to your site (back linking is still one of the MOST effective ways of driving traffic to your site)
There are loads of article sites on the internet and a search engine search will find them for you.

Podcasts
A podcast is an audio which has been given a special xml link.
The great thing about podcasts rather than audio is the fact that people can download your audio mp3 file and listen to it whenever they want to using their ipod, PDA, computer or other device.

The other great thing about podcasts is the fact that people can subscribe to them using an RSS link which is shown as an orange button. A subscriber clicks on that link and all your podcasts are automatically downloaded, which means they do not have to keep returning to your site to download your latest podcast.

It also makes your job as the podcaster easier because you only need to put your link into a podcast directory once and every time you update your podcast link (or feed as it is known) it will automatically be updated in the podcast directory. So once you go through the work of submitting your feed once you never have to do it again.

Social Book Marking Sites
It has now become popular to add your articles, blog posts, videos and podcast to popular social book marking sites like Stumbleupon, Digg and Del.ici.ous because people can vote on them as well as save them for future reference.

The more votes you receive the higher up your post is moved and the more it is shown on the site. These are fantastic places to get instant targeted traffic because people will naturally come over and take a look at your site after reading your post on a social book marketing site.

Also if people are interested in something you have shared or said they will also tell other people about it and this is one of the easiest ways. The thing to do here is to make sure that your post is key word rich so that you will also rank high if someone searches the site for that key word.

These are four ways that I use to drive traffic to my blog and of course there are many more so focus on discovering which four or five work for you and stick to them.
